Sudbury Joins The Team!
It is our great pleasure to announce that Accident Support Services International Ltd., (ASSI) has begun a 6 month pilot with the Greater Sudbury Police Service to assume operation of the Sudbury Collision Reporting Center (CRC) located in Azilda. The Grand Opening on October 1, 2007 went off without a hitch as Sudbury Accident Support Services Ltd. took over the reins and staff welcomed the first citizen through the doors.
The Greater Sudbury Police Service had been operating a CRC inside the Azilda facility for the last few years, and they were looking forward to the extra benefits both for the Service and for the citizens of their community that a partnership with ASSI will produce. Upon arrival at the center, citizens are greeted by a member of Accident Support Services’ staff, who assist with the completion of the police report, apply the “Damage Reported to Police” sticker, photograph the damage to the vehicle, and offer the customer the opportunity to contact family, broker or insurance company directly from the Police Station. Citizens find the one stop service opportunity and the “one-on-one” interview process simplifies the reporting process, and adds to the customer service aspect. Police personnel are available as needed to assist with the accident report. ASSI staff provide knowledgeable advice and assistance to collision victims with empathy, integrity and availability. The increased convenience of reporting in a centralized location additionally results in greater road safety for both the citizens and officers. Supporting insurers fund the program; therefore, there is no cost to the police or the public for these additional services.

Police and Insurers will now have real-time access to collision data and reports through ASSI’s Microsoft award winning ‘Collision Reporting & Occurrence Management System’ (CROMS). In addition, Accident Support Services’ staff complete data entry for all official MTO reports, capturing the information for analysis and focused policing initiatives.

The Greater Sudbury Collision Reporting Centre is located at 239 Montee Principale Street in Azilda. The hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, closed Sunday and Statutory Holidays.
